HIGH FASHION LOST ITS DIRECTION.
By A. Manso was born from a conviction:
Wearing black makes you superior in style.
Not because black is easier.
Because black leaves nowhere to hide.
Without color doing the work, everything depends on silhouette, proportion, posture and presence.
That idea became the foundation of By A. Manso — a fashion house built around restraint, masculinity and visual authority.
But the ambition was never simply to make clothes.
It was to create a new aesthetic culture.
A. MANSO
Alejandro Manso is a Cuban-Spanish designer, creative director and founder of By A. Manso, based in Los Angeles, California.
His relationship with fashion began in 2019 through fashion photography.
From behind the camera, he moved into styling.
From styling, into design.
And eventually into modeling and content creation.
That progression gave Manso an unusual perspective on fashion: not only how a garment is designed, but how it is photographed, styled, worn, perceived and transformed into culture.
Today, all of those disciplines exist under one name.
A. Manso.

THE PROBLEM WITH FASHION
Manso believes contemporary high fashion has lost much of what once made it powerful.
Conviction has been replaced by repetition.
Identity by trend.
Vision by marketing.
Too many designers are interested in being accepted by the culture instead of creating one.
A. Manso has no interest in that.
His position is deliberately uncompromising:
High fashion has lost its direction. He intends to give it one.
Not by reproducing the past.
Not by pretending the great designers who came before him never existed.
But by refusing to accept mediocrity as the standard of his own generation.
THE BEST OF HIS TIME
Manso does not claim to be the greatest designer in history.
He considers that comparison meaningless.
Every generation belongs to a different cultural moment.
But within his own time, his position is much less modest.
He believes he is the best designer of his generation because too many of his contemporaries have stopped taking risks.
Too much fashion is created to be consumed.
Too little is created to be remembered.
By A. Manso exists in opposition to that mentality.
The objective is not simply to participate in modern fashion.
The objective is to dominate its visual conversation.
A NEW AESTHETIC CULTURE
The world of By A. Manso is built around a precise visual language.
Black.
Strong masculine silhouettes.
Controlled proportions.
Minimalism without weakness.
Clothing designed to alter the way a man enters a room before he ever says a word.
Each collection is another step toward a larger objective:
to establish a new aesthetic culture for modern men.
A culture where confidence does not need decoration.
Where masculinity does not apologize for itself.
Where clothing is not merely worn.
It communicates power.
LOS ANGELES
Based in Los Angeles, By A. Manso operates at the intersection of fashion, image and contemporary culture.
For Manso, the city is not simply the headquarters of the brand.
It is the environment from which the next stage of the house is being built.
By A. Manso is still at the beginning of its story.
That is precisely the point.
The intention is not to arrive quietly.
BY A. MANSO
This is not another interpretation of menswear.
It is an attempt to redefine its direction.
A new silhouette.
A new attitude.
A new aesthetic culture.
